Jamie Osborne has sent out 6 runners in the past fortnight and all 6 have been placed in the first four, three of them at double figure prices. Perhaps his filly SUSSEX DANCERcan chalk up a win here in Friday’s opening race. She certainly has the best form on offer having achieved ratings in the 70’s twice. It is likely something will have to improve past her to take top honours but TARTAN GUNNA may be able to do just that. He must surely be better than he showed on his debut when after breaking slowly, he could never quite get into it. He has since been gelded and the fact that he was made favourite suggests he has shown ability at home. SKY GATE could be best of the rest. Brian Meehan is not adverse to improving seemingly moderate youngsters and the blinkers are applied today. He has looked as though he may need further but perhaps this slower surface may bring his stamina into play. By contrast, QUEENS FLIGHT appeared to run out of gas last time at Great Leighs. She is bred to stay and comes from a top stable so every chance she is better than she has shown; although she does perhaps have a bit to prove today.
