MR ED has not won for a long time and has pulled up on his 2 most recent starts. The horse has a lot of miles on the clock but this sharp track and small field may suit. Not one for big stakes but with his stable coming out of the doldrums could run better than of late in this lesser class race.

THE RISKY VIKING looked to be going places when he won over 4m at Exeter but has disappointed since. He looks an out and out stayer and I am not sure that this will be enough of a test at this sharp track on this ground.

YANNS is now 12 and not getting any better. He is another stayer and may need to drop a few pounds before winning again. On the positive side, he is at least in a bit of form.

SQUIRES LANE was well backed to win a modest race at Leicester last time. A difficult horse to price as his runs prior to that were dismal. He is up 9lb which still leaves him well treated on his best form and this track suits front runners. He has never been the most fluent jumper but then these are easy fences. He is stepping up in grade but if he is in the same form as last time that may not stop him. Reasonable 'if' though.

PAXFORD JACK had 3 years off but has returned in good form, running to the same RPR of 104 on 3 runs back. He is entitled to run well if his recent exertions do not take there toll.

DUNBELL BOY looks to have it all to do.
