Billy121's Race Preview
THE JOBBER – Is starting to look well handicapped now but the worry is that does not seem to be seeing out his races. Jamie Spencer an interesting booking and a good showing would not surprise. Will do well to win though based on his recent efforts. METHAALY – Cracking run in July with 3 wins but beaten last time off 77 and makes very limited appeal here off 84 with stall 11 to overcome. EQUULOUS PICTOR – Certainly improved of late and although raised again for his victory last time, that in itself may not be enough to stop him. He is well drawn for a front runner and likely to make a bold bid on this sharp track. Just a concern about the ground, having looked well suited by some give. WOODCOTE – The visor made the world of difference last time and this horse has a lot of natural speed. Still very well handicapped on his best form and would make some appeal. However, stall 15 looks a killer, especially for a front runner and opposed for that reason. BO McGINTY – Has hung notably right on his last 3 runs and on that evidence is one to leave alone at present. FOXY MUSIC – Another front runner and berthed in stall 14. Only one win from 19 and plenty of the other make more appeal today. MAMBO SPIRIT – Chance on his best form and Seb Sanders on board but often misses the break and that would be pretty terminal here from stall 10. Would need things to go very much his way to take the win. TOPFLIGHTCOOLRACER – A winner round here last year but has looked a little short of tactical pace and not sure that she can take sufficient advantage of the best draw. Another who could run well if things drop just right but hardly rock-solid. SUPERMASSIVE MUSE – Convincing at Haydock 3 starts back when bursting clear but not really built on that since. Well drawn but others perhaps have more natural pace and makes limited appeal taking on older horses for the first time. JILLY WHY – Won 3 races early season but has been running nowhere near that level since and hard to fancy from a poor draw after finishing last in a much lesser race last time. MARYOLINI – Tends to race handy and stays 6 furlongs but she will need to have improved for the break to take this against her elders. Not easily fancied. MAGIC GLADE – Previous course winner but seems on the downgrade and despite dropping into Class 4, nothing really to suggest a revival is imminent. MANDURAH – Fairly handicapped and improved on hiod recent victory when 3rd in a competitive Class 3 handicap at Goodwood. Not much course experience but likely to go well for the Dandy Nicholls stable and easy to forsee a decent run. Slight concern that he has never won in this high a grade. MR WOLF – A victim of his own consistency and handicapper not cutting him any slack. Not previously shone at Chester and is probably best when allowed a soft lead which he won’t get here. Looks like a very tall order despite a good draw. REALLY REALLY WISH – Has plenty on here and despite showing a bit of promise last time, makes very little appeal from a wide draw. Conclusion; Nothing stands out but the 3 that make most appeal are THE JOBBER, EQUULOUS PICTOR and MANDURAH. Slight preference is for the latter who had no sort of run last time. Forecast 1-2-3 - MANDURAH
- EQUULOUS PICTOR
- THE JOBBER
