8.15 Hamilton DICKIE LE DAVOIR 11/2 Has found a new lease of life for John Harris and the handicapper has been fair with him. Won in a better grade last time so must have a reasonable chance despite the weight burden. BLAZING HEIGHTS 13/2 Looks likely to pick up a race soon from falling mark and this could well be it. His come from behind style means that an element of luck is required and his win record is not great. Would make more appeal at a bigger price in a bigger field. CHOOKIE HEITON 13/1 Extremely interesting from a handicapping point of view having dropped 10 lb since his last run and having won off a 31lb higher mark in his prime. Has looked to have problems in recent years though and good training performance should he oblige tonight. The market should indicate his chance and only of interest if there is plenty of money for him. HAAJES 40/1 Well beaten on seasonal bow and likely needs to drop a few pounds before being competitive. RASAMAN 10/3 Tongue tie seems to have made a difference and he looks very well handicapped on his old form. Slight concern that cheek pieces are dispensed with and yet to prove himself on soft ground with but still has a leading chance here. METHAALY 15/1 Has looked out of sorts lately and may not appreciate soft ground. Taking a drop back to 5f which may suit but has a few questions to answer and may come up short. ROTHESAY DANCER 4/1 Moderate win record but in form and gets on well with this rider. Up 2lb for getting beat last time and may not want the ground too soft but goes well here and must have a leading chance. HOWARDS TIPPLE 17/2 All 3 wins in Class 6 races and plenty on here back in handicap company after winning a modest claimer last time. TOU LES DEAUX 40/1 Plummeting down the weights but has won over 10f and no evidence to show that 5f is what he wants. Not impossible but given that he is prone to breaking slowly, will need a much improved performance to sweep past these. Summary; RASAMAN looks to have a good chance to build on his second place last time. ROTHESAY DANCER must finish thereabouts and stablemate BLAZING HEIGHTS may stay on for the minor honours.
