14.45 Utt - Billy's Prev
CEOPERK 12/1 - Been running well without winning but handicapper has been harsh in raising her 3lb for her defeat last time. Stiff task off top weight and likely to run well without winning. RARE GOLD 9/2 – Has not taken to fences at all but should run better back over hurdles. On a feasible mark and unlikely to be too far away. BALLYKELLY 14/1 – Some reasonable form but has not really progressed since his debut win 2 years ago. Another who should finish close up but a little extra needed to secure the win. MISTER WISEMAN 16/1– Looks a hard ride but this big field may suit as he might be best held up for a late charge. Chance here without looking to stand out. DANCING HILL 16/1 – Is interesting. A prolific winning mare she was in the form of her life when last seen. That was 22 months ago though. May have been to stud and if in foal is likely to run well here. Market may be the best guide. ALDIRUOS 50/1 – Has looked thoroughly mullish the last twice and looks best avoided. HEAR ME OUT 12/1 – Not gone on at all since promising british debut last year. Possible that the break will have done him good but stable form still a concern after months of not really firing. Market confidence might be significant. BARATI 33/1 – Well beaten in sellers of late and would be a surprise winner. TROIALINI 12/1 – Has proved disappointing for top connections over hurdles and ran a stinker on his handicap debut last time. Blinkers will need to work the oracle, which is not impossible. CLEYMOUR HOUSE 14/1 – Is having his 13th run of the season here and his improvement looks to have levelled off. Back over hurdles today, he is fairly handicapped but may need a break soon and although it would not be a major surprise to see him win, is likely to be plenty short enough in the market. MAKANDY 50/1 – Has a squeak on his best form but looks high in the handicap and has yet to win over hurdles, having been repeatedly beaten in sellers. Ran poorly on the flat last time and others look safer. SHAAMIT THE VAAMIT 14/1 – Has twice run poorly since a long absence and the application of a visor failed to improve things last time. Of no interest unless significant market support should come for him. MAX BYGRAVES 50/1 – Not shown a lot so far including twice in handicaps and need to find serious improvement to get invlolved here. ONEFORBERTANDHENRY 100/1 – Only 6 career starts and now a 9-y-o. Most unlikely to figure here. MADAM BLAZE 13/2 – Still a maiden and exposed as moderate. This trip may be plenty short enough but capable trainer likely to tease a win out of her at some stage and Paddy Brennan takes the ride. One of the more solid options. LEIGHTON BUZZARD 66/1 – Undistinguished career and has left Neil King. Most unlikely to be winning here. CLASSI MAUREEN 14/1– Strung 4 good efforts together around this time last year and that makes her of interest here despite a moody show last time. All her best runs under professional jockey though and off-putting that inexperienced amateur on board today despite 7lb claim. SUMMARY – RARE GOLD may well appreciate the return to hurdles and can make the most of the opportunity. MADAM BLAZE looks sure to run her race and may give the selection most to do. Of the others, CLASSI MAUREEN could pick up a place at a price.
