The Arkle is fascinating this year with a favourite who is far too short for what he has achieved and the rest of the field seemingly overpriced.  I'm taking the chance that Tidal Bay's jumping stands up and with the ground on the softer side outstaying his rivals.  Noland has done nothing wrong and jumps for fun but do you want to be taking 2-1 about a horse who hasn't been extended over fences, i don't.  Maghogany Blaze has solid form but his last run although visually impressive behind Voy Por and Master Minded, i tend to take such a run with a pinch of salt.  After all he was ridden for 3rd place and was staying on as theleaders got tired and was in my opinion flattered.  Can't take a chance with a horse like Clopf who undoubtably could have the class but a fall at the lastin Ireland last time out doesn't fill me with confidence.  7-1 for Tidal Bay looks the bet.
