Has not always strung decent efforts together and faces competition for the lead so it may not be all plain sailing. OBE ROYAL comes from a stable in blinding form and although not the most prolific winner, is very consistent and rarely far away. His come from behind style always requires a bit of luck but with a likely fast pace and 8 runner field, he looks a cracking e/w bet. METHAALY likes to have things his own way out in front and he may not get that here. In his favour are the booking of Seb Sanders and maybe the application of an eyeshield. Fairly handicapped, he has a chance if things pan out in his favour. MUSIC BOX EXPRESS tends to blow it at the start but he got away well last time and made all in good style. If you back him, you take the chance of a repeat and that may not be a given. GEORGE THE SECOND has not shone round here and indeed has not shone anywhere for a while. Due to be dropped 2lb and today probably not his day. ROYAL ENVOY comes from a stable who is often hot but when cold is usually worth avoiding. With this kind of exposed handicapper; that is enough to prevent a bet but in addition, his record of 0/9 at this track means that at the current prices he is a definite lay. JAKEINI is difficult to weigh up but the market is usually a good pointer from this yard and as he is trading at 20/1 then another who will probably find other days more lucrative. AVONTUR is a possible if breaking on terms. On form he is entitled to be thereabouts but he is racing in a higher grade than usual. Should not be far away but may find one or two too good.
