Profile of Townmoor Racing
Welcome to Townmoor racing, why Townmoor well its my favourite track, myself and my late father had some of our best gambling days at the course.
I can comfortable say that I will give you the most comprehensive laying programme from most if not all the days meetings.
In general I look to lay between the odds of 5/2 and 7/1 for my win lays, I will select 1, 2, or even three lays in a race.
There is a pattern of laying these selections, and with a staking plan to accompany them.
In addition I give comprehensive lay places that hopefully will continue the high standard and the profitability, thus far attained.
For forty five years I was a GAMBLER, trying to pit my wits against the layer (BOOKMAKERS).
I had good punting and in the main lived off the great Henry Cecil.
WHY THEN START LAYING ?
Simple the introduction of Betfair.
We can now all be layers, but what is the strategy we should use ?
Well if the backers choice is very selective betting and this is the best policy!
Most say it should be the same for layers and only look for short priced lays or certainly lower than 4/1 about the odds.
However, how do the course layer work ? Well they do not only lay one or two horses a day do they.
Then Why should we the Betfair layers !
My aims are simple:
1/ SHOW A PROFIT PER DAY
2/ SHOW A PROFIT PER RACE
3/ MINIMISE ANY LOSES PER RACE
These basic aims can be met by hard work and using my forty five years in punting and the ability to analyse races correctly, not every time may I add but in the majority of occasions.
